We’re Fenella (left) and Michelle (right), sisters, native English speakers, and founders of our own English academy in Spain.
Born in Islington, London, and raised in a bilingual environment, we know what it’s like to learn English even when you already speak it. This unique experience , combined with our training in teaching and psychology , shaped the way we approach education today.
In 2019, we opened our English school with one mission: to help students of all ages learn in a way that’s meaningful, effective, and backed by science.
After years of creating our own materials and seeing what truly works in the classroom, we decided it was time to share them with other teachers and that’s how our Teachers Pay Teachers store began.

What we believe in
We create ESL resources based on what actually works in real classrooms. Every worksheet, game or lesson plan you’ll find here has been tested with our own students and designed with these three core principles in mind:
- Brain-based learning: Everything we do is guided by how the brain learns best , from memory and attention to how language is stored and retrieved.
- Authentic materials: Language comes to life when it’s used for real communication. That’s why we love using real stories, visuals, and cultural references.
- Personalised learning: No two students are the same. We believe great teaching adapts to different levels, interests, and needs and our resources help you do just that.
